Tulane to the SEC? Fans all made the same joke after Green Wave took lead over Oklahoma

Tulane football used to be a member of the SEC, calling the conference home from 1932 to 1965, winning 3 SEC football titles.

However, the SEC is bringing in Oklahoma and Texas at some point in the next few years as the newest members of the conference, not the Green Wave.

On Saturday, though, the Green Wave made a case for inclusion in their old conference, taking an early 14-7 lead over the Sooners in a game that was relocated from New Orleans to Norman due to Hurricane Ida:

Oklahoma has since tied the score at 14-14, but that didn’t stop everyone from making the same joke on Twitter about Tulane looking like an SEC team:

Bring the Green Wave home!
