Two Tulsa football players are facing drug and firearm charges after their dorm room had a strong smell of marijuana that drew attention from a security officer.

Fox 23 reported that Tulsa police arrested WR Korey King and DE Lazarus May after security officers came to their room around midnight Wednesday morning.

Once in the room, the officers reportedly found King, 19, and May, 18, inside with what police later found to be 253 grams of marijuana and a Kel-Tec sub2000 9mm rifle. Three Airsoft guns were also in the room. Officers obtained a search warrant to confiscate the marijuana and the gun.

The Tulsa World also reported that air rifles are banned from campus. Marijuana, including medical marijuana, and firearms are also prohibited on the campus.

The players remained booked Wednesday mid-morning in lieu of $15,000 bonds.
