Tyreak Sapp is set to be back with the Florida Gators for the 2025 college football season.

Sapp’s return was confirmed by default. Florida played its bowl game on Dec. 20, meaning Gator players had the standard deadline of Dec. 28 for entering the NCAA transfer portal. Now, the deadline for declaring for the NFL Draft has also passed.

Sapp is coming off a standout redshirt junior season in Year 4 at UF. He finished the year with 47 tackles, leading the Gators with 7 sacks and 13 TFLs for 48 yards while tied for the team lead with 2 forced fumbles.

Sapp was particularly strong during UF’s 3-game win streak to end the regular season. Against LSU, he recorded career-highs of 8 total tackles, 4 solo tackles and 4 TFLs, including a 7-yard 3rd-down sack on the Tigers’ final drive of the game. He had 1.5 sacks in the 4th quarter of the Ole Miss game. In the regular-season finale against Florida State, Sapp logged 5 tackles, including 3 solo stops, 2 TFL, 1 sack and 1 forced fumble.
