Ty’Ron Hopper, a Florida linebacker, was in the transfer portal. Then, he wasn’t. Then, he was again.
Now, it seems the decision has stuck. Per a report on Thursday, Hopper is staying in the SEC East for the 2022 season.
As you can see below, Matt Zenitz of On3 Sports tweeted on Thursday afternoon that Hopper was transferring to Mizzou and would arrive on campus soon:
Florida linebacker transfer Ty’Ron Hopper is set to transfer to Missouri, sources tell @on3sports. The plan is for him to arrive on campus in the coming days.

Hopper was a key part of the Florida defense in 2021, finishing fourth on the team with 65 tackles, 10 of which went for a loss. He also had 3.5 sacks, 2 pass breakups and a fumble recovery.
Mizzou desperately needs depth at linebacker, so Hopper figures to play a prominent role in Steve Wilks’ defense in 2022.
