Star Kentucky freshman TyTy Washington was injured during last week’s loss to Auburn. After missing a midweek game vs. Mississippi State, he is reportedly ready to give things a go for Saturday’s huge showdown at No. 5 Kansas.

Washington rolled his ankle vs. Auburn after posting 4 early points. The Tigers would mount a huge second half for the win in Washington’s absence.

According to multiple reports, Washington is going to try and play Saturday. He was also spotted dressed and ready to participate in Kentucky’s pre-game shootaround.

Washington started Kentucky’s first 19 games of the season and is second on the team in scoring (13.6 points per game) and assists (4.4). He is also averaging 3.9 rebounds and is shooting 50% from the floor and nearly 40% from 3-point range.

Saturday night’s top-15 matchup in the Big 12/SEC Challenge between Kentucky and Kansas is set to tipoff at 6 pm EST on ESPN.
