Ugly first half showing on offense in the Texas Bowl has many questioning Mizzou’s game plan

It appears the loss of offensive coordinator Josh Heupel has hurt Missouri more than most had suspected as the Tigers enter halftime of the Texas Bowl down 21-7 to Texas thanks in large part to an inept offense.
Heupel, of course, left the program to take over the Central Florida program. Heupel also took Mizzou offensive line coach Glen Elarbee with him to Orlando and thus far, the Tigers have struggled to adapt to the adjustment of Barry Odom’s staff.
Junior quarterback Drew Lock is 10 of 14 for 91 yards but has yet to throw a touchdown after throwing 43 during the regular season. Mizzou also has two turnovers in the game.
The unimpressive showing has resulted in many calling out the Tigers’ first-half performance. Here are a few of the tweets we thought best summed up the first half of the Texas Bowl:
Why. Isn’t. Missouri. Letting. Lock. Throw. The. ______. Ball? #TexasBowl

If I were the Missouri offense, I'd ignore every play call that newbie is calling and call my own plays in the huddle. That guy is atrocious. Mizzou strength is THROWING, not running. #TexasBowl

#TexasBowl does Missouri know they can pass in this game?

Missouri shooting themselves in the foot but what can you do when the OL is getting whipped and receivers can't hold onto a ball?#TexasBowl

My analysis of the first half of the Texas Bowl: Missouri’s offensive playcalling is absolutely horrific, but they’re very much in this game.

Drew Lock better do himself and the fans of #Missouri a favor, and go back to school. #TexasBowl ??♂️
