Unlike Alabama, USC already knows which quarterback it will start against the Crimson Tide.
USC announced redshirt junior Max Browne as the quarterback who’ll start against Alabama during Week 1.

“We learned that these two men are extremely talented, ultracompetitive, and possess all the leadership intangibles that you must have at the position,” USC coach Clay Helton said in a news release. “It made for one of the toughest decisions in my college coaching career. This usually is the case when you have very talented individuals at the same position performing at a high level.”
Browne appeared in just three games, completing 8-of-12 passes for 113 yards as a backup last year.
The former 2012 Gatorade National Player of the Year will have a tall task facing Alabama Week 1, and the Trojans will be wearing spiffy new uniforms in the opener.
