Stop if you’ve heard this one before but there will soon be a spring football league to enjoy during the offseason.

For the third time in four years, there will be a professional football league not only playing but being broadcast nationally for fans to enjoy.

This time it’s FOX Sports that will be broadcasting games as the United States Football League (USFL) is making a comeback.

The USFL was founded in 1983 and featured several players that either initially turned down the NFL or would later become stars in the league. Herschel Walker, Jim Kelly, Reggie White and Doug Flutie and also featured head coaches Steve Spurrier and Lee Corso.

The relaunch of the USFL is set for 2022.
