Vanderbilt has announced its first ever meeting with Nevada will take place in Nashville in 2018. The Commodores will host Nevada Sept. 8, 2018, the school officially announced Thursday.

This game finishes the Commodores 2018 non-conference slate, which already includes the Sept. 1 season opener at home against Middle Tennessee State, a Sept. 15 trip to Notre Dame and the final non-conference game Sept. 29 against Tennessee Tech in Nashville.

Nevada competes in the Mountain West Conference and went 5-7 in 2016 with a 3-5 record in conference play.
