Vanderbilt eliminates Clemson behind 9 home runs, advances to Super Regional

It’s safe to say a baseball looks like a beach ball to the Vanderbilt Commodores.
Vanderbilt defeated Clemson 19-6 Sunday night. The sticks were certainly working for the Dores, as the team set a program record in a regional with an amazing nine home runs in one game. Connor Kaiser led the Commodores with three home runs and 10 RBIs, which tied an NCAA tournament record. That’s a month for some guys, but Kaiser did it all in one game. He hit a grand slam, a three-run bomb and a two-run bomb. He was just a solo big fly short of the home run cycle.

Vanderbilt entered the Clemson regional as the No. 2 seed, and after ousting Clemson, the Commodores are advancing to the Super Regional. Currently, Mississippi State is beating Oklahoma, and should the Bulldogs win tonight and tomorrow, MSU and Vanderbilt will square off in a Super Regional.
