Vanderbilt lands commitment from Virginia prospect Ben Cox

Vanderbilt landed its 10th commitment in the class of 2020 Tuesday when Radford, Virginia, native Ben Cox announced his verbal pledge.

The 6-foot-5, 275-pound tackle is currently unranked and doesn’t have a star rating by 247Sports Composite Rankings. Cox committed to Vandy over offers from Appalachian State and Arkansas State, among others.

He became the Commodores first verbal commitment from the state of Virginia. Impressively, Vandy only has one in-state commitment thus far in 2-star long snapper Wesley Schelling. Derek Mason and Vanderbilt have gone out-of-state to build its 2020 class so far.
