The Vanderbilt Commodores have been piling up commitments for their 2022 class under new head coach Clark Lea.

However, on Monday, the Commodores got some bad news, as a 3-star linebacker out of Florida announced he was decommitting from the program.

As you can see below, Alex Williams — a native of Wewahitchka, Florida — revealed his decision via his Twitter account:

Per the 247Sports composite rankings, Williams is the No. 86 linebacker in the class of 2022 and the No. 118 overall recruit from the state of Florida.

He committed to Vanderbilt on April 17, 2021. He also has an offer from Ole Miss.

Vanderbilt is down to 18 players in its 2022 class. The class currently ranks No. 35 in the nation and No. 11 in the SEC, per 247Sports.
