Vanderbilt opens as significant betting favorite over Auburn in Week 11 clash
Vanderbilt is fresh off a painful loss on Saturday at Texas, where it nearly rallied from a 34-10 deficit in the 4th quarter to steal a victory in Austin.
But those 21 points in the final period dissolved into an unsuccessful onside kick which the Commodores nearly recovered but instead squired out of bounds, ending Vanderbilt‘s hopes at a miracle comeback. It dropped the Commodores to 7-2 and put a dagger in their College Football Playoff hopes, but Week 11 brings new opportunity with struggling Auburn coming to Nashville.
The Tigers are just 1-5 in the SEC and fired head coach Hugh Freeze in the aftermath of Saturday night’s home loss to Kentucky, and on Sunday the early betting line for the Auburn-Vanderbilt game was set by Circa Sports. Not surprisingly, the Commodores were installed as a 6.5-point favorite, giving Clark Lea‘s team a great chance to bounce back and shake off that Texas loss.
Vandy fell 6 spots to No. 15 in the latest AP Poll on Sunday, but in Week 11 the Commodores will try to take out their frustrations on an Auburn program that has already felt plenty of frustration in 2025, capped by the Freeze firing on Sunday.
The Tigers and Commodores will kick things off this Saturday at 4 p.m. ET on SEC Network.
Here is Circa’s complete list of opening lines for Week 11 of the 2025 season:
