Alabama’s offensive line has always been a key to its success — just ask Derrick Henry.
This year, the Tide have to do some shuffling after losing C Ryan Kelly and G Dominick Jackson to the NFL.
So far through fall practice, though, one veteran offensive lineman is making a case for a starting job:
“Bradley Bozeman has done a really good job,” coach Nick Saban said. “I (also) thought he had a really good spring.”
Saban added that Bozeman has impressed the Alabama coaches with both the mental and physical aspects of his game:
“He’s a tough guy,” Saban said. “He really understands. He can play center, guard or tackle for us. So we’re really pleased with the progress he’s made. He gives us a lot of depth at a lot of different positions.”
According to the AL.com article, Bozeman was one of only three Tide players to bench press 500 pounds this spring. He also squatted an impressive 545 pounds.
That kind of raw strength is sure to be a boost to the Crimson Tide offense.
