One SEC team will be getting a quarterback with a cannon next year.
Recent USC decommit Matt Corral, who has a top three of Alabama, Florida and Georgia, won the long toss competition at Nike’s The Opening competition camp with 77-yard pass seen below, edging Clemson commit Trevor Lawrence’s throw of 73 yards.

Another view of Corral’s impressive throw can be seen in the video below around the 2:24 mark.
Corral has been seen sporting a Georgia wristband at the recruiting showcase in Beaverton, Ore. Recruiting chatter in the media and on social media has suggested that UGA is in the lead, but the Long Beach, Calif. quarterback has also talked about his regular contact with Florida and Alabama.
“I talk to Florida every day,” Corral told SB Nation.
Earlier in the week he told AL.com about Alabama’s pitch of being bigger than other SEC schools.
“I’m excited, because when they talk about Alabama, they talk about how much bigger it is than an SEC school,” Corral said. “The winning history. I talked on the phone with coach (Nick) Saban. What Coach Tosh (Lupoi) pretty much tells me is to come play for the best of the best colleges and to have Coach Saban be your guy for the rest of your life and take care of you, and having connections through him.”
Corral will reportedly commit to one of the three before the start of his senior season.
