Video: Georgia K Rodrigo Blankenship pokes fun at himself after wearing helmet in postgame interview

Georgia K Rodrigo Blankenship drew attention on social media for a couple of reasons last weekend.
In the Bulldogs’ 27-24 victory, Blankenship hit the game-winning field goal. Then, in the postgame interview, he answered questions with his helmet on, prompting many to poke fun at him.
However, the redshirt freshman showed off his sense of humor about the incident, wearing his helmet to a press conference this week.
The the above UGASports.com video, Blankenship says the excitement of the victory made him forget proper interview protocol.
“I wasn’t thinking,” he said. “I was just sort of caught up in the moment, you know?”
If Blankenship and the Bulldogs pull off an upset over Auburn on Saturday afternoon, who knows what he’ll do in the postgame interview?
