In the third spring game under coach Jim McElwain, the focus was on the quarterback competition. Feleipe Franks (8-of-14, 119 yards, TD) outdueled fellow redshirt freshman Kyle Trask (6-of-15, 66 yards). Franks was helped considerably by having the first-team offense as his supporting cast while facing the second-team defense.
The biggest throws of the night by Franks were a 46-yard pass to WR Josh Hammond and a 16-yard touchdown pass to WR Antonio Callaway. Both plays are featured in the video above, as well as a dazzling touchdown throw by Kadarius Toney.
Orange defeated Blue 31-0.
