Vol Twitter wouldn’t be surprised if Tennessee never scores another offensive touchdown

Twitter is bewildered by Tennessee’s inability to score an offensive touchdown.

It’s understandable. The Volunteers haven’t crossed the goal line on offense since Sept. 23 in a 17-13 win over UMass. It seems like it was years ago, but it was actually just over a month.

Tennessee did score a touchdown against Alabama, but it was a 97-yard interception return by the defense. Other than that, the Vols knocked in three field goals against South Carolina and got totally shut out by Georgia.

You could say October hasn’t been a good month in Knoxville.

Tennessee was oh, so close to scoring a touchdown against Kentucky on Saturday night. The Vols got all the way to the 1-yard-line in the first quarter, yet still found a way to kick a field goal.

At the time of this post, early in the second quarter, Tennessee was trailing Kentucky 14-6.

Check out some of these reactions:

Truly baffling. Maybe the Vols will punch one in the end zone before this game is over.
