WATCH: Appalachian State players go wild after walk-on is awarded scholarship

Appalachian State head coach Scott Satterfield put walk-on Brad Absher on scholarship Tuesday, and the Mountaineers team went wild.
Walk-ons put just as much blood, sweat and tears into college football as scholarship players, and it’s always great to see some get rewarded for it.
Absher is a redshirt senior from Troy, North Carolina, and he played in 11 games last season, including 23 games during his three-year career. Absher’s made just two catches for 17 yards, but he recorded five tackles last season, all on special teams.
