WATCH: Clemson DB says ‘We are the program to beat right now’ heading into Sugar Bowl Playoff game
Some have suggested that Clemson can surpass Alabama as kings of the college football landscape by winning the semifinal Sugar Bowl and ending the Crimson Tide’s season for the second consecutive season.
If you ask Clemson defensive back Ryan Carter, that time has apparently already arrived.
During his Thursday morning media availability, Carter was asked if the Tigers ever hear the word “dynasty” associated with their program.
“Yeah. The big thing we are changing — we are the program to beat right now. We are the team that’s trying to change the college football narrative. Trying to create any opportunity for us to be back on top. I think the most beneficial thing for us is that guys know what it takes, know how hard it is it win a national championship, win a College Football Playoff, win games period.”

Do you agree? Has Clemson already arrived as the team to beat in college football?
