WATCH: Deebo Samuel makes spectacular catch in NFL debut

If they aren’t already aware, San Francisco 49ers fans are about to learn that Deebo Samuel is a truly gifted athlete and a joy to watch play football.
Samuel was in action in San Francisco’s preseason game against Dallas and made a highlight catch that South Carolina fans saw over four years in Columbia (2015-18). The video below shows him going airborne to snag an underthrown 45-yard pass from 49ers QB C.J. Beathard.

San Francisco beat Dallas 17-9 in the game. Samuel finished with two catches (on four targets) for 61 yards. He also rushed for 14 yards on one carry.
Samuel was the No. 36 overall pick in the 2019 NFL Draft. He signed a rookie deal in June worth $7.7 million over four seasons.
