WATCH: Fans chant ‘Fire Currie’ during Tennessee basketball game

With every hour that passes without a new football coach, Tennessee fans are growing angrier with AD John Currie, who hasn’t been able to land Butch Jones’s replacement yet.
The anger over the football program is even seeping over into other sports, as was evident at the men’s basketball game on Wednesday night.
As the Vols were easily beating overmatched Mercer, fans started chanting “Fire Currie” in unison to express their displeasure with the embattled AD, as you can see and hear in the video below, shared on Twitter by @BarstoolTenn:

It was getting so bad that security had to threaten to kick people out who were participating in the chant:

The Vols’ coaching search is dragging on and looks like it will at least carry over into Thursday, so fans will only be that much more upset moving forward.
