Update: Justin Fields now has four touchdowns for the Buckeyes — three throwing and one rushing.
Well, that didn’t take long.
Ohio State quarterback Justin Fields announced his Heisman Trophy campaign Saturday against Lane Kiffin’s FAU Owls. The former Bulldogs’ quarterback led Ohio State to two touchdowns in back-to-back drives. Both were impressive plays by Fields, too.
Fields transferred to Ohio State this off-season because he couldn’t beat out Jake Fromm at Georgia. If Fields continues to play this well, he might go head-to-head with Georgia and Fields in the College Football Playoff.
On the Buckeyes first drive, Fields housed one for 51 yards.
