Mississippi State needed a big play in the fourth quarter of its game against UMass on Saturday.
Luckily, Deddrick Thomas delivered.
Thomas bolted up the sideline for an 84-yard punt return touchdown as his team clung to a 27-23 lead.
This key play put the Bulldogs up by two scores at 34-23 with just five minutes left to play.
That was enough for State to hang on, as it went on to win the game by the same score. The Bulldogs moved to 7-2 on the season.
