WATCH: The one play that summarized the entire Alabama-Vanderbilt game

The familiar theme song of CBS Sports’ coverage of SEC football showed Alabama’s sheer dominance of Vanderbilt in one 17-second clip played going to commercial.
Alabama linebacker Rahaan Evans, who is listed at 6-foot-3, 234 pounds, took on Vanderbilt offensive lineman Bailey Granier, who is listed at 6-6, 316 pounds. Evans delivered what amounted to a pancake block to a lineman expected to do the same.
There were plenty of numbers that explained the lopsided affair in Nashville on Saturday. The 59-0 final score of the Alabama win, the Crimson Tide’s 38-3 edge in first downs and Vanderbilt’s 1-for-11 conversion rate on third down.
But this video clip succinctly describes the events more than any stat.
