The Georgia Bulldogs are off and running in their first game as the No. 1 team in the College Football Playoff Top 25.
The game started with a bold decision, but it worked out alright as South Carolina was unable to cash in points following the kickoff.
Georgia then had a red zone turnover on what looked like a sure touchdown drive before settling in.
The Bulldogs would eventually score the first points of the game late in the first quarter. Sony Michel took a direct snap and bounced outside for the touchdown, but it was Bulldogs QB Jake Fromm that provided a key element to the play.
Fromm, who was lined up at WR in the Wild Dog formation with Michel taking the snap, provided a late block to seal the edge. The block allowed Michel to sneak inside the pylon for the game’s first score.
Here is a look at the play from CBS Sports on Twitter:

Fromm is off to a good start against the Gamecocks, and it is the little things like this block that makes him an excellent player.
