With ski season already underway in Colorado, there’s a lot of snow falling in the area, including Boulder.

Therefore, when Colorado hosted Utah on Saturday, things were a bit of a snowy mess. Colorado took an early lead, but ended up losing 30-7 after the Utes came storming back.

The game provided a hilarious refereeing moment, though, as the head official had to warn fans of both teams to stop throwing snowballs on the field during the second quarter:

While those conditions may have been fun for the players to play in, it wasn’t fun for Colorado coach Mike MacIntyre, who has watched a 5-0 start slip away to a 5-6 record.

MacIntyre may be fired after the season, and this collapse against Utah didn’t do him any favors.
