Georgia’s secondary depth has been lacking this spring, according to Kirby Smart.
On Tuesday, Georgia defensive back Mark Webb suffered a knee injury in practice. The severity of it was unknown.
Smart revealed on Thursday that it was a torn meniscus that sidelined Webb:
Kirby Smart said Mark Webb tore his meniscus. Had it scoped today.

The good news is that Webb is expected to return to action this fall.
Webb entered the 2018 season with hopes of locking down a starting job at one of the cornerback spots. That was after the former 4-star recruit made an impact on special teams as a true freshman in 2017. He made the switch from receiver to defensive back last September.
Georgia will try and avoid any more injuries to the secondary when it hosts G-Day on Saturday at 4 p.m. ET.
