Florida tight end Kyle Pitts missed the last 2 games due to an injury suffered against Georgia, and he returned in a major way Saturday against Kentucky.

Florida looked as if it would go 3-and-out on its first drive; however, Dan Mullen decided to fake a punt for a first down. Running back Dameon Pierce ran for the first down in punt formation. Quarterback Kyle Trask then hit his All-American tight end for the 56-yard touchdown and the first score of the game.

The Pitts’ touchdown reception capped off a 6-play, 83-yard scoring drive for the Gators.

The Gators lead the Wildcats 7-0 with just under 4 minutes in the first quarter.
