Ed Orgeron’s Tigers are tied with Gus Malzahn’s Tigers 10-10.
Auburn’s defense has done a nice job of getting pressure on Joe Burrow and the LSU offense. Burrow is getting hit more Saturday than he’s been hit all year. LSU has managed just 30 rushing yards, and that’ll be a strong message from Ed Orgeron to his team at halftime — LSU has to establish the running game.
Freshman Derek Stingley had a costly fumble on a punt return; however, he made up for it right before halftime with the huge interception of Bo Nix with AU already in field goal range.
Below is what Orgeron said at halftime.

“We’re having tight coverage on defense. They can’t run between the tackles. We’re playing excellent defense. We’ve just got to eliminate the penalties.”#LSU— Scott Rabalais (@RabalaisAdv) October 26, 2019
LSU made only six penalties during the first half; Auburn made nine.
The biggest thing for LSU will be protecting Burrow, creating some sort of running game and winning the turnover battle.
