What Mizzou-Georgia postponement means for suspended Tigers players

The cloud of suspension will hang over three Missouri players longer than originally planned.
On the Monday after the Florida game, the SEC announced first-half suspensions for three Mizzou players for their conduct in the UF-MU game, where an on-field fight broke out after the last play of the first half.
“The SEC Office has issued a half-game suspension for Missouri linebacker Chad Bailey, offensive lineman Dylan Spencer and defensive lineman Markell Utsey for fighting action during the altercation. Each will miss the first half of Missouri’s game vs. Georgia on November 14 which follows a Missouri open date on November 7,” a Nov. 2 SEC statement read.
The Mizzou-Georgia game has now been postponed due to the Tigers’ COVID situation. According to Rivals’ Power Mizzou, that means the first-half suspensions now carry over to the next game, which is at South Carolina on Nov. 21.
The 3 Tigers players will certainly be glad to have that over with once the second half is underway in Williams-Brice Stadium.
The first half suspensions for #Mizzou players Markell Utsey, Dylan Spencer and Chad Bailey that were supposed to be served against Georgia will now be served against South Carolina (assuming that game is played)
