When do the College Football Playoff Rankings come out?
The College Football Playoff selection committee will meet in person and discuss the rankings before they are unveiled. The first Playoff rankings will be announced Tuesday, October 30, on ESPN.
If the Playoff Rankings were released today, the SEC would dominate. As the AP Top 25 stands right now, No. 1 Alabama and No. 2 Georgia would both be in the top four. It’s likely that Ohio State, Clemson and Oklahoma would also be the other two teams included in the selection committee’s top four, but it’s also worth noting that the No. 5 LSU Tigers may have the best resume in college football. And there’s certainly an argument that based on pure resume, LSU would be in the top four.
