SEC All-Americans the past 5 years: Where were they drafted?

The SEC has produced some of the top talent in college football in recent years and the NFL has taken advantage of it. Of the consensus All-Americans who have come through the conference, 18 have been taken in the first-round over the past five NFL drafts.

This year’s crop of consensus All-Americans, which includes projected first-round picks Vernon Hargreaves, Reggie Ragland and A’Shawn Robinson, has an excellent chance at adding to the figure.

Here’s a look at the five previous years of consensus All-Americans and where they were drafted:

2014 All-Americans/2015 NFL Draft

Amari Cooper, WR Alabama: First round, fourth overall pick by the Oakland Raiders.

Shane Ray, DL Missouri: First round, 23rd overall pick by the Denver Broncos.

Landon Collins, S Alabama: Second round, 33rd overall pick by the New York Giants.

Senquez Golson, CB Ole Miss: Second round, 56th overall pick by the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Reese Dismukes, C Auburn: Undrafted.

2013 All-Americans/2014 NFL Draft

Jake Matthews, OL Texas A&M: First round, sixth overall pick by the Atlanta Falcons.

C.J. Mosley, LB Alabama: First round, 17th  overall pick by the Baltimore Ravens.

Ha Ha Clinton-Dix, DB Alabama: First round, 21st overall pick by the Green Bay Packers.

Cyrus Kouandjio, OL Alabama: Second round, 44th overall pick by the Buffalo Bills.

Michael Sam, DL Missouri: Seventh round, 249th overall pick by the St. Louis Rams.

2012 All-Americans/2013 NFL Draft

Luke Joeckel, OL Texas A&M: First round, second overall pick by the Jacksonville Jaguars.

DeMarcus Milliner, DB Alabama: First round, ninth overall pick by the New York Jets.

Chance Warmack, OL Alabama: First round, 10th overall pick by the Tennessee Titans.

Jarvis Jones, LB Georgia: First round, 17th overall pick by the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Johnny Manziel, QB Texas A&M: Returned to Texas A&M. Drafted in first round, 22nd overall, by Cleveland Browns in 2014 NFL Draft.

Damontre Moore, DL Texas A&M: Third round, 81st overall pick by the New York Giants.

Barrett Jones, OL Alabama: Fourth round, 113th overall pick by the St. Louis Rams.

C.J. Mosley, LB Alabama: Returned to Alabama.

2011 All-Americans/2012 NFL Draft

Trent Richardson, RB Alabama: First round, third overall pick by the Cleveland Browns.

Morris Claiborne, DB LSU: First round, sixth overall pick by the Dallas Cowboys.

Mark Barron, DB Alabama: First round, seventh overall pick by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Dont’a Hightower, LB Alabama: First round, 25th overall pick by New England Patriots.

Tyrann Mathieu, DB LSU: Returned to to school. Third round, 69th overall pick of the 2013 draft by the Arizona Cardinals.

Joe Adams, AP, Arkansas: Fourth round, 104th overall pick by the Carolina Panthers.

Randy Bullock, K, Texas A&M: Fifth round, 161st overall pick by the Houston Texans.

Jarvis Jones, LB, Georgia: Returned to Georgia.

Barrett Jones, OL, Alabama: Returned to Alabama.

2010 All-Americans/2011 NFL Draft

Cam Newton, QB Auburn: First round, first overall pick by the Carolina Panthers.

Von Miller, LB Texas A&M: First round, second overall pick by the Denver Broncos.

Patrick Peterson, DB, LSU: First round, fifth overall pick by the Arizona Cardinals.

Nick Fairley, DL, Auburn: First round, 13th overall pick by the Detroit Lions.

Michael Egnew, TE, Missouri: Returned to school. Third round, 78th overall pick by the Miami Dolphins in 2012 NFL Draft.

Lee Ziemba, OL, Auburn: Seventh round, 244th overall pick by the Carolina Panthers.

Chas Henry, P, Florida: Undrafted.

Josh Jasper, K, LSU: Undrafted.
