College football is back, and the world is rejoicing. It’s the greatest sport in the world that gives us the greatest regular season in all of sports.
The first game to kick off Saturday was between Austin Peay and Western Kentucky. With just under 6 minutes left in the third quarter and Western Kentucky leading Austin Peay 21-20, WKU punted on fourth down.
The Austin Peay player muffed the punt reception and WKU looked like it would grab the fumble and be set up for a solid scoring opportunity. However, the WKU player who attempted to recover the fumble essentially threw it back into the Austin Peay returners’ arms who reversed field and returned it for -1 yards.
The commentary was our favorite part, “No, you haven’t seen that before.”
The punt return and the audio are below:

Here’s another look:
This is one of the best -1 yard punt returns you’ll see! It’s raining pretty hard so Kam Thomas muffed the punt, a WKU player tried picking it up and it bounced back to Thomas! Insane! ?? pic.twitter.com/gyz6wGXlkK
