Will Anderson Jr. scored the first touchdown of his life on Saturday with a Pick-6 against UL-Monroe, and recalled on Monday with reporters that it caused him to think about a conversation with offensive coordinator Bill O’Brien.

“I think me and (Bill O’Brien) are going to have a good conversation after practice today,” Anderson said.

Anderson returned his the interception 25 yards for a touchdown, and the national sacks leader a year ago also got his second sack of the season. The interception came on a muffed pass in the backfield by UL-Monroe.

Anderson not only scored, but he delivered the Crimson Tide’s first turnover on defense, and that entitled him to a $20 kitty payout. However, the pass rusher is having a difficult time collecting.

“They were saying ‘Will has so much NIL, he doesn’t need it.’ That’s horse crap. I’m getting my $20 out of everybody,” Anderson said.
