Will Levis love affair continues in Kentucky as Wildcats take halftime lead over Mizzou

Will Levis came to Kentucky this offseason from Penn State and won the Wildcats’ starting job.

He had a big performance in a Week 1 win against Louisiana-Monroe, but Saturday night’s game against Mizzou was always going to be a bigger test.

Well, through the first half, he’s acing the test. Late in the second quarter, Levis had completed 6 of his 9 passes for 96 yards, a touchdown and an interception.

He’d also shown what he can do as a rusher, running for 23 yards and a score.

Here was one of his best throws, a long strike to fellow transfer Wan’Dale Robinson:

Those are the kinds of throws Kentucky hasn’t had in its offensive arsenal for years.

As you might expect, Kentucky fans love what they’re seeing from their new QB1. Fans on social media heaped praise on Levis as he led the Wildcats to a 21-14 halftime lead over the Tigers:
