Will Levis says Kentucky is still on the rise, and has ‘a lot more people to prove wrong’

Will Levis believes Kentucky has established a brand of hard-nosed football, and that despite all the progress Mark Stoops has made in Lexington in the last decade, there’s still room to grow.

“I still think we have a lot more people to prove wrong,” Levis said on CBS Sports Radio. “I think at least offensively, we’d like to think of ourselves as a balanced offense with a lot of different ways to beat you. One week it may be a different way than the next, but we just want to get the job done, and at the end of the day, the only real stat that matters is that W in the win column. … We know that when we’re on the top of our game, we can beat anybody.”

Levis also wants to encourage so-called doubters to keep it up, and there’s no reason to pay attention to what anybody says about the Wildcats.

“It gives us motivation,” he said. “People can say whatever they want to say, but the only people’s opinions that really matter are the people in this building.”
