Will Levis time: Kentucky fans thrilled with new QB1 after first half vs. ULM

Will Levis had about the worst first pass a player can have in his Kentucky debut.
The transfer from Penn State watched as the well-placed pass bounced off his receiver’s hands and into the arms of a Louisiana-Monroe player:

That obviously wasn’t on Levis, but he still managed to shake off the mistake and put together a solid first half. His first touchdown pass as a Wildcat went to fellow transfer Wan’Dale Robinson, the former Nebraska Cornhusker:

Then, Josh Ali atoned for his early mistake and caught this absolute bomb from Levis to give Kentucky the lead:

Here was another big-time connection between Levis and Robinson:

Levis finished the first half 11-for-17 passing for 246 yards, 3 touchdowns and an interception.
Fans and media members were excited for Levis’s debut, particularly after that first drive. Here’s some of the reaction to Levis’s first half:

Kentucky passes of 50+ yards in 2021: 1

I think I like Will Levis

Will Levis has six completions for 148 yards. Eddie Gran couldn't get his quarterbacks to 148 yards passing in a game and a half.
This is so much fun to watch!

ULM went 0-10 last season, so this is hardly intense competition for the Wildcats, but it’s still a good sign that the passing offense has looked so good under Levis on Saturday.
