The XFL Draft is coming up, and several former SEC players will certainly play in the league.

On Friday, the average player compensation was revealed. According to Pro Football Talk, the average player will make $55,000 salary. The website obtained the information in a memo the league wrote and distributed to player agents.

The players who are drafted and retained by XFL teams will be full-time employees. If they remain on the roster through May 2020, the average player will make the $55,000 salary. Some will make more, but that will be the average.

The NFL league minimum is $495,000, but XFL players are free to leave for the NFL at any time. The XFL will have players who shine and who will get NFL contracts; so, the $55,000 is worth it.

For others, their bodies will take beatings for just over 11 percent of the NFL league minimum.
