For the first time in his MLB career, Jac Caglianone has left the yard. Two weeks after getting the call-up to the bigs, Caglianone hit his first home run as a Kansas City Royal.

Caglianone’s first homer came at Texas in the top of the 2nd inning of the Royals’ game against the Rangers.

Caglianone’s solo shot went 387 feet to right-center field at an exit velocity of 106.5 mph. Fans are amazed that the pitch was high and well out of the zone for the 6-5 Caglianone. He went up and got it, and hit the ball at a 35-degree launch angle.

In the dugout, Caglianone was given an extended silent treatment before his Royals teammates finally celebrated.

Everyone expects this to be the first of many homers for Caglianone. He hit a program record 75 home runs at Florida, with 68 coming in the 2023 and ’24 seasons. The No. 6 overall pick in the 2024 MLB Draft, Caglianone hit 15 hoe runs in 50 games of AA and AAA action in 2025.
