NFL Draft 2025: NFL.com’s latest mock has 15 SEC stars in Round 1

NFL Draft hype is going to reach a fever pitch here soon, as the event kicks off in Green Bay on Thursday, April 24. Most of the scouting work is now officially done, so now all we have to do is wait.

Analysts are putting together their final mock drafts, and most Round 1 projections feature more than a dozen SEC football stars hearing their names called in the first 32 picks.

NFL.com analyst Rhett Lewis released his Round 1 mock draft this week and had 15 SEC guys coming off the board.

A total of 9 different SEC squads have players going in Round 1 in this mock draft. Texas and Georgia each have 3 players in the first round, while Alabama and Ole Miss have 2 apiece:

  • No. 4 — Will Campbell, OL, LSU — New England Patriots
  • No. 7 — Armand Membou, OL, Mizzou — New York Jets
  • No. 8 — Jalon Walker, Edge, Georgia — Carolina Panthers
  • No. 12 — Matthew Golden, WR, Texas — Dallas Cowboys
  • No. 15 — Shemar Stewart, Edge, Texas A&M — Atlanta Falcons
  • No. 17 — Mykel Williams, Edge, Georgia — Cincinnati Bengals
  • No. 18 — Tyler Booker, OL, Alabama — Seattle Seahawks
  • No. 19 — Jihaad Campbell, LB, Alabama — Tampa Bay Buccaneers
  • No. 21 — Jaxson Dart, QB, Ole Miss — Pittsburgh Steelers
  • No. 23 — Jahdae Barron, CB, Texas — Green Bay Packers
  • No. 24 — Nick Emmanwori, S, South Carolina — Minnesota Vikings
  • No. 25 — Kelvin Banks Jr., OL, Texas — Houston Texans
  • No. 26 — Malaki Starks, S, Georgia — Los Angeles Rams
  • No. 30 — Maxwell Hairston, CB, Kentucky — Buffalo Bills
  • No. 32 — Walter Nolen, DL, Ole Miss — Philadelphia Eagles

We’ll find out in a couple of weeks whether or not these projections are accurate, but it seems safe to say that the SEC will continue its draft dominance.
