Kliff Kingsbury is the latest NFL coach to be fired, as the Arizona Cardinals made the move on Monday morning, according to multiple reports, including ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
Schefter pointed out that Kingsbury 10 months ago signed a contract extension through the 2027 season. Also, the Cardinals still never have had a head coach — any head coach — last longer than 6 years while the team has existed for over 100 years.
Arizona finished the 2022 season with a 4-13 record. Kingsbury served as Arizona’s head coach for 4 years, and went 28-37-1 as he reached the postseason just once.
Bruce Feldman of The Athletic and FOX Sports reported that Kingsbury may move to the Los Angeles Rams if coach Sean McVay stays with the team.

Something to keep an eye on with the Cards firing Kliff Kingsbury: Heard some talk this weekend in coaching circles that IF Sean McVay stays with the Rams, Kliff may come back to LA (he was on staff at USC for a quick minute before the Cards hired him) joining the Rams staff.
