NFL fans waiting to see the first football game of the season will have to wait a few more minutes. Severe weather is in the area of Canton, Ohio, so players left the field and the Hall of Fame game is expected to be delayed from its 8 p.m. ET start.

The Jacksonville Jaguars and Las Vegas Raiders are there to play in the first preseason action of the NFL calendar year, which gives fans the first live football game of the summer. It’s a case of teams trying to reset with new coaches, and both franchises are in different phases of rebuilding.

SEC fans will likely see No. 1 overall pick Travon Walker out of Georgia on the roster for the Jaguars in the game, which is set to air on NBC.

For Jacksonville, third-string quarterback Jake Luton is expected to start at quarterback, and former Ole Miss RB Snoop Conner is expected to get plenty of work.

The game will mark the debut for Raiders head coach Josh McDaniels, who is a Canton native and played his home high school football games at Fawcett Stadium, the predecessor to the current hall stadium.
