Sunday’s Super Bowl halftime show featured some all-time greats in hip-hop and rap as Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Eminem, Mary J. Blige and Kendrick Lamar performed at Super Bowl LVI at SoFi Stadium. For the California Super Bowl, it was a homecoming of sorts for the Los Angeles artists Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg and Kendrick Lamar

The 5 artists have combined for 43 Grammys and have created 22 No. 1 Billboard albums.

Dr. Dre and Kendrick Lamar are from Compton, while Snoop Dogg is from Long Beach.

Snoog Dogg recently told the Associated Press that performing at the Super Bowl in his home state is a “dream come true.” He said he’s looking forward to sharing the stage with music legends who are his friends.

“I’m not going to understand it until it happens,” he continued. “While it’s happening, I’m in the zone. I’m stuck to the script, laser focused, being on point, sounding good, looking good and feeling good. I want to give off a great presentation. After the fact, it’s when I’ll be nervous about watching it to see what the reaction is. But while I’m going through it, it’s nothing.”

“We’re all one. We’re all united together,” he said. “If you really look at it, that’s what the world needs to understand that we need to come together as opposed to division or separation.”
