Rutgers already has a tall order on its hand in an attempt to upset Ohio State on Saturday. But when the kicker misses the ball on a kickoff attempt, that makes things even more difficult.

Jude McAtamney otherwise appeared to have a solid game for the Scarlett Knights, as he connected on an extra point attempt as Rutgers took an early 7-0 lead. Then he later made a 35-yard field goal. But it was not enough for Rutgers as it trailed 42-10 by late in the third quarter.

McAtamney, who is from Ireland, has had a strong start to the season.

He made a 28-yard field goal versus Iowa (9/24) made 3 field goals (45, 25, 38) at Temple, and connected on 9 extra points and a 49-yard field goal with 10 touchbacks in the home opener against Wagner. He also hit a 33-yard field goal and go-ahead extra point in his Rutgers debut at Boston College.
