Bob Stoops will coach the Oklahoma Sooners in Wednesday night’s Alamo Bowl against Oregon.
He’s taking over on an interim basis after Lincoln Riley left for USC. Then, in 2022, new head coach Brent Venables will take the reins of the program.
On Tuesday, Stoops was asked about getting a potential Gatorade bath if the Sooners win and if he’d rather substitute it for a tequila bath. Stoops readily agreed, joking that the administration can’t exactly punish him:

“That would be OK. What’s the administration gonna do? Fire me?” Stoops laughed.
Stoops seems to be having a great time being back on the sidelines, even if it is just for a 1-game stint.
The Alamo Bowl kicks off at 9:15 p.m. Eastern time and can be seen on ESPN.
