With the national spotlight that came with being the only game on Sunday evening, Jalen Hurts certainly did not disappoint in his first start for Oklahoma.

If you missed it, Hurts but on a show and likely elevated himself to the very top of the Heisman Trophy race following his performance against Houston.

In his first game as a Sooner, Hurts completed 20 of 23 passes for 332 yards and three touchdowns. If that wasn’t good enough, Hurts also added 176 rushing yards and another three touchdowns on the ground in his primetime performance. That performance was only the second player in college football history a player finished a game with 300+ passing yards with three touchdowns and 150+ rushing yards and another three scores in the same game (Johnny Manziel previously accomplished that against Louisiana Tech).
