Lincoln Riley gets clowned for postgame comment after Oklahoma lost to Baylor

Lincoln Riley and the Oklahoma Sooners suffered their first loss Saturday 27-14 against Baylor.
Lost in the craziness, the Sooners have potentially been eliminated from Playoff play following the loss. OU was undefeated and still ranked at No. 8. Now, its playoff hopes are on life support.
Near the end of the game, Riley was upset that Baylor fans rushed the field with seconds remaining. So, with the game already in hand, Baylor head coach Dave Aranda decided to kick the field goal instead of taking a knee and running out the clock.
The field goal extended the margin to 27-14.
Riley was asked about it during the postgame press conference, and he wasn’t too happy with it.
Lincoln Riley said he was upset that Baylor wasn’t assessed a 15-yard penalty for the field rushing. He also said he understands why Dave Aranda kicked the FG, but said he wouldn’t have done it and that it goes against a “code of sportsmanship”

Naturally, he got trolled over it.
Of course, the “code of sportsmanship” remark had fans clowning him.

If Lincoln thinks that went against the code of sportsmanship, just wait until you see what Alabama and Georgia do. It’s no mercy for them. https://t.co/GNVoub2b30

Apparently the code of sportsmanship ceases to have legal value when you leave the conference you founded and hope Baylor ends up in the AAC (not legal advice from me). https://t.co/u6aSwXBTIG

Unwritten rules aside, after what went down this summer…why would Oklahoma expect much respect from its conference peers? https://t.co/0EBwh6Zo6X
