Oklahoma softball run-ruled No. 16 Kentucky 18-0 on Friday night.

It was a dominant performance from the Sooners, who were playing in their 2nd game of the day. Starting pitcher Alex Storako faced just 16 batters — 1 over the minimum — in the win.

Kentucky’s only base-runner came from a hit-by-pitch in the 1st inning. Storako also finished with 5 strikeouts.

Offensively, Oklahoma was ruthless. The Sooners scored 3 in the 1st, 4 in the 2nd and 11 in the 4th. As a team, Oklahoma hit 6 home runs.

Catcher Kinzie Hansen was responsible for 2 of those homers, including a 3-run shot in the 4th inning that made it 18-0. Hansen also hit a grand slam and finished the game with 7 RBI. Jayda Coleman, Sophia Nugent, Cydney Sanders and Quincee Lilio also homered.

Here’s video of Hansen’s grand slam:

Oklahoma has responded well since dropping its 1st game of the season to Baylor last month. The Sooners went undefeated at the Mary Nutter Collegiate Classic, including a big win over then-No. 1 UCLA.

Oklahoma will face Kentucky again on Saturday at 3 p.m. CT.
