Come To The Sip: Ole Miss lands commitment from massive Georgia lineman Cedrick Nicely
Ole Miss just picked up its 14th commitment of the 2021 recruiting cycle as Gainesville High School lineman Cedrick Nicely announced his pledge to join Lane Kiffin’s program on Friday.
The Ole Miss coach confirmed the new commitment for the Rebels by posting, “Great start to Friday morning! Hotty Toddy #ComeToTheSip,” on Twitter.
“Thankful for EVERY single person that helped guide me through this tough journey!!” Nicely posted on Friday.
The 6-foot-4, 305-pound Nicely from Gainesville, Ga., picked Ole Miss over scholarship offers from South Carolina, Georgia Tech, Hugh Freeze’s Liberty program, and USF, among others. Nicely does not currently have a recruiting ranking from 247Sports or 247Sports Composite Rankings.
That certainly looks to be changing in the near future, however, as the newest member to pledge to Kiffin’s Ole Miss program should soon garner closer examination from the recruiting services.
To get an idea of what Ole Miss is getting in Nicely, check out his junior season with Gainesville High School, in which the massive lineman plays on both sides of the ball.
He certainly looks to have the tools to play in the SEC with a nice combo of athletic ability for a player of his size.
